Our bee hotels received an upgrade this week
New coat of paint, sanded construction and roofs and of course a comfortable living space in the form of various logs, branches and perforated bricks.
There are up to 500 species of solitary insects living in our region, which need all kinds of nooks and crannies to lay their eggs. In addition to bumblebees, the insect hotels are also attractive to beetles that like to nest here.
There are 2 bee hotels at the R1 PR1BINA and two new ones will be added soon. They complement the scheme of the PR1BEENA bee project, in which we have planted 60 hives in the region since 2017, and new ones are added every year.
