TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS – R1 Via Pribina
Change alert: The start of construction works at the Nitra – West, Lehota interchange has been postponed to April 19, 2026 at 18:00, compared to the originally published schedule.
Following this change, the timing of traffic restrictions on the other previously announced sections of the expressway will also be adjusted accordingly.

On Wednesday, 8 April 2026, major maintenance will begin on the R1 Via Pribina expressway. The works will take place in phases across different sections, both during the day and at night, to keep restrictions as short as possible.
Drivers are advised to expect closures of interchanges in the following locations:
• Čaradice interchange (km 80) (08.04 – 11.04.2026)
• Zlaté Moravce interchange (km 70) (12.04 – 17.04.2026)
• Nitra – West interchange (Lehota, km 39) (17.04 – 26.04.2026)
• Nitra – South interchange (Čermáň, km 45) (26.04 – 03.05.2026)
• Nitra – East interchange (km 51) (17.05 – 25.05.2026)
• Beladice interchange (km 62) (17.05 – 25.05.2026)
• Tekovské Nemce – North section (rest area) (03.05 – 12.05.2026)
• Selenec section – SSÚR service roads (12.05 – 17.05.2026)
*The above dates are indicative and will be continuously updated depending on the actual progress of the works and current weather conditions.
The works will be carried out continuously to minimize the impact on traffic; however, short-term slowdowns may still occur during peak periods.
The replacement of the asphalt surface layer is expected to take approximately two months.
